Don Minehart traces his life from Midwestern boyhood through serving in the US Army Air Force in WWII, earning a degree in agricultural engineering from South Dakota State College, and beginning a family and public service career in rural South Dakota. A two-year stint as an agricultural advisor in India led to 25 years of work in India, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Syria, China, the Philippines, Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Afghanistan, helping to create the infrastructure used to transform traditional agriculture in what’s been called the “Green Revolution.”
