Evaluation of a Privatization in Paraguay: Using Martson Checklist Key Questionaire

It has been argued that privatization as a policy option is a complex thing to accomplish. It requires a lot of effort and commitment. Its implementation and results vary among countries. Around the world, many countries have embraced privatization as their main policy, hoping that it would lead their economy toward sustainable economic growth. The literature revealed that this policy cannot always be considered successful in its implementation. Countries such as Chile, United States, United Kingdom, Italy, and France embraced privatization as a public policy tool to combat the inefficiency and ineffectiveness that surround their SOEs. In contrast, other countries, such as Paraguay, showed the opposite result.
