Voices From A Childhood

Voices From A Childhood

ByEdward Cullen

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This is the story of a Merseyside childhood in the 1950s and 60s. As the son of a Liverpool docker, the author paints a vivid picture of working class life: trips to New Brighton, beatings at school, bomb-sites and demolition, teenage love, parental deaths and memories of Dixie Dean. As an older teenager he trained with the RAF, did duty (under the influence) at Churchill's funeral and went on Vietnam War demonstrations. He uses his memories of family life and growing up in those sometimes boring, sometimes turbulent years to reflect on the meaning of it all.
