Pollyanna is a story about a young girl Polly whose father a minister dies. She is sent to her aunt Polly to live with in her mansion. Aunt Polly is very stern and will not succumb to Polly’s childish and sunny disposition. Despite the sternness of Aunt Polly, Polly finds ways in which to live happily. She finds solace in climbing outside her stuffy window in the attic to the outdoors where she plays happily. She plays the “Glad Game” where despite the negativity that may present itself accepts the gifts and finds the positivity in them. Pollyanna is a positive and uplifting story for children and adults that will prove to be inspiring.
