Badin’s Diary: An English Translation is the first effort to bring an important primary source document of Adolf Ludvig Gustav Fredrik Albert Badin, née Couchi, to the English-speaking world.
This is the only known written document from this oft-misunderstood and disrespected noble of the Swedish Royal Court.
Mr. Basir’s insistence on accuracy is evident in the immaculate work of Swedish translator Sandra Gustafsson and French translator Milca Morat. Translators Kay Hutchings-Olsson and Poppy MacKenzie edited the respective sections. Although many of Badin’s entries are faded, blurred and cryptic, the reader will have both the high resolution scans of the diary and the translation to determine for themselves the intellectual and spiritual depth of the Swedish noble known as Badin.
Moreover, thanks to a diverse array of individuals’ donations to the production of this translation, Mr. Basir has made this diary free of charge for anyone to download from the Internet.
