Wise Owl's Vowels and Sight Words

"Wise Owl's Vowels and Sight Words" is the third workbook in the Wise Owl reading workbook series. The workbook begins around the mid first grade reading level and goes to an advanced first grade reading level. Children learn 36 vowel spellings and 136 new sight words. This is built upon the phonics and 100 sight words learned in the Level 2 workbook, "Wise Owl's First Phonics and First 100 Sight Words. Each of the 35 lessons, in the Level 3 workbook presents a vowel sound. There are several pages of activities for that new sound. After the phonics pages, there's a page that introduces 4 new sight words, plus two stories to read. The stories will contain the new sight words learned and words to sound out with the new vowel sound studied. Both stories are followed by comprehension questions and activities.
