An icy shadow spreads over the world, a glacial grip grips the heart of the planet. Something mysterious has broken free from its thousand-year-old ice prisons and spreads rapidly, exterminating animal populations and sowing terror among humans. A group of scientists, intrepid explorers of the boundaries of knowledge, arrives in the Arctic with the aim of studying the effects of climate change on polar ecosystems. Their mission, however, takes an unexpected turn, turning into a race against time to avert a global catastrophe. Deep in a remote glacial cave, buried under tons of thousand-year-old ice, lies an invisible enemy ready to awaken with incredible fury. Unaware of the danger, researchers unearth this deadly force, which will soon spread beyond the borders of the Arctic. The first victims are the most vulnerable animals, seals and penguins, iconic creatures of the white continent. The strange, silent disease creeps among these and other Arctic mammals as if it were an indomitable fire. Faced with the rapidity of the contagion and the lethality of the unknown virus, concern is growing among scientists. Their efforts to contain the Arctic epidemic seem in vain and doomed to fail. The uncontrolled virus does not stop at the icy expanses of the Arctic, a cargo ship from the frozen continent docks in an Asian port, becoming the unwitting vector of the beginning of a nightmare. Defying every geographical barrier, it is transmitted all over the world, reaping victims of every animal species, sowing death and desolation in its wake. Will man be able to defeat this glacial virus or will he be destined to succumb in his icy embrace? Where does this evil come from? Is it a biological weapon created by senseless hands or a divine punishment for the sins of humanity? The answer to this terrible question is hidden in the future, shrouded in a veil of uncertainty and fear.
