Don’t simply read the text. Enter the story. That is the challenge offered by the baker’s dozen of tales in this collection. One story enters Jesus’ life through the eyes of the Samaritan woman who meets Jesus at a well while in another the Jewish leader Nicodemus has night visit with Jesus which yields the best known verse of the Bible. There are also tales which use the biblical text as a jumping off place for stories including the last days of the Apostle John and a contemporary parable on seeing others as God sees them. In varied ways Eyewitness Gospel ignites imaginations to see the world anew, from a Gospel perspective.
Most of the stories began as sermons preached at King of Peace Episcopal Church in Kingsland, Georgia, where this style of preaching is a favorite with the congregation. Frank Logue is the church’s founding pastor. More information is online at www.kingofpeace.org.
