True Identity Becoming One With Christ

We are who we identify with. From the beginning, creation was made in God’s image until sin entered and man disconnected himself through disobedience. When Adam turned from God’s voice, he identified with death instead of life. From that day forward, every man born of Adam shared that fallen identity — natural, mortal, and separated. But through Jesus Christ, the last Adam, God restored what was lost. Jesus identified fully with man so that man could again identify with God. Through the Cross, the curse was broken, and a new creation was born — one that shares the very life and nature of the Father. Now every believer is called into that same divine identity — not of guilt, fear, or failure, but of righteousness, sonship, and glory. The Spirit of God within us bears witness that we are His children, heirs of the Father, and joint-heirs with Christ. This is not a hope for someday — it is the reality of today. When we see ourselves in Him, we live from heaven’s perspective and walk in heaven’s authority. True identity is not found in what we do, but in who we are in Christ. “And the glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are one.” — John 17:22
