Welcome to the premier adventure of Bart Bantam The Flying Rooster . Bart Bantam is a young bantam rooster who feels he has much to offer. He lives on a farm with his mother, Mama Betty. Now it is true that chickens don't fly, but Bart has dreams of his own. He learns of a long ago ancestor, a wild Red Junglefowl, who could fly, and he gets inspired. After all, Bart was quite aware that he had wings. So, he was already halfway there! Bart shares this story with his new best friend, Buddy. They decide to do what no chicken has ever done before, "Fly!" One eventful day at school, Bart and Buddy answer the call to a commotion on the school grounds. Can they rise to the occasion and save the day?
This story is full of beautiful illustrations and a narrative about achieving goals and perseverance. It also delicately handles emotions that occur around a school bully and the friendships than become strong as a result. Friendship and kindness prevail throughout this tale because Bart's heart sees the good in all of us.
This story is a perfect bedtime story to share with younger ones. And it is designed for beginner readers ages 6 and up as well.
To see what else Bart and his friends are up to, you can go to the other books in this series, "Bantams Of The Opray" , "Red Goes Home", and "Bart's Dinosaur Adventure".
