About
Fred Pollard
Fred Pollard has spent a great deal of time accumulating educational degrees of various sorts. He says he has more degrees than a thermometer. Born and raised in North Carolina, Fred recognized the value of community while growing up. He also loved drawing from a young age, even creating his own comic book for fun with the super hero character, "Charge"! After high school, Fred studied Commercial Art and earned an associate degree. Through this study, he learned he was somewhat color blind, so he changed the direction of his life towards community and fellowship. Two degrees later, an undergraduate degree in English Bible and Counseling, and a Masters in Counseling in 1995, Fred provided family counseling for a number of years before moving onto other adventures. And now, his dream of writing children's books has taken center stage. Fred's life experiences and training all lead up to the rich character development found in his books. He finds he can tactfully weave values, life skills, and community involvement into his children's picture stories to further help those in a meaningful way. And Fred does all his writings and illustrations by himself..... No A.I. All of Fred's books leave you with a pertinent message because he still has a lot to say.
