One Glasgow boy, four female Chinese Musicians,a government minder, a student doctor interpreting, a handful of cash, a minibus and six summer days in Scotland to fill. This is the tale of an incident-packed, hastily arranged visit to Scotland by classical musicians, agreed by two senior aerospace executives during a celebration dinner in China. Castles, cruises, horses, a ceilidh and a classical performance at one of Glasgow's finest visitor attractions. In 1994 Gerry Thorogood was a young marketing manager in the Aero Maintenance industry. He works today in the IT sector and plays guitar in a charity covers band.
