The First Villain

"Thus we have decided to give the first lifetime ban to none other than GGFan, whose crimes against the internet should not and will never be forgotten or forgiven." I created my first account on GameFAQs 15 years ago, "thegreatestgamefan." Back then I was merely the greatest fan of games. What I didn't know was how being a fan of one game in particular would give me the opportunity to master it while becoming its most hated character. Listen to my story, in which I talk about the early days of competitive Pokemon, my involvement in both GameFAQs' rise and downfall as a competitive community, and how I managed to become so despised that I even received legitimate death threats from indignant pre-teens (or possibly older, I'm not sure) who thought I was the Grimer of the Earth.
