When Gila was growing up, her life was predictable and success was quantifiable. From kindergarten through college, there was a clear path toward success. Then when grad school took her from classwork to fieldwork, life began to get more complicated, and she discovered that the real world does not offer the structure and support that her academic training provided. As Gila begins her journey into adulthood in her twenties, new questions and challenges arise: What lies ahead? What happened to all that positive feedback she received as a kid?
