Kaizoku : A Pirate Tale

Originally started as part of the Nanowrimo challenge, this story progressed and evolved into an elaborate tale combining classic elements of both Adventure and Fantasy. The first novel in the Kaizoku series. From as far back as he could remember, Takéhiko had always been aware of one thing. Life was a bitch and you had to look out for yourself. After all, there was no one else to do it for you. Doomed at birth and saved by chance, Takéhiko's beginnings were meager to say the least. Raised between homes and the adoption center, he becomes fixated upon the Kaizoku, a mysterious yet courageous, tribe of pirates. Little is known, except for that which appears in the stories he becomes absorbed in, to escape the harsh reality of his life. Our story follows Takéhiko, a young orphan and his newly found friend Emiko as they embark upon the journey of a lifetime. One which will change them both forever in ways they could never have foreseen.
