The Name of the Game

In the Byrne family, loyalty is absolute. Betrayal is fatal. When nineteen-year-old James Byrne is brutally attacked in San Diego, his powerful family descends from Chicago determined to find whoever is responsible. But as the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear the assault was not what they first believed—and the truth threatens to expose fractures the Byrnes have spent decades burying. Over the course of seven violent days, old rivalries resurface, alliances begin to crack, and revenge spirals beyond anyone’s control. As the family searches for James’s attackers, enemies both inside and outside the organization seize the opportunity to challenge the Byrne empire. In The Name of the Game, loyalty, revenge, and ambition collide as power is protected at any cost—and the most dangerous threat may come from within the family itself.
