Lou Fine (Louis Kenneth Fine 1914-1971) is one of the most sought-after artists of the Golden Age of Comics, though he only spent about six years drawing for the comic book industry. His work on The Ray, Doll Man, The Black Condor and other features are considered by many to be the best work of the day. Gwandanaland and Midcentury Comics are proud to bring his public domain works in a great series, starting with his earliest comic book stories, 1938-1939. He worked under many names at that time (because the comic publisher wanted to give the illusion of a large bullpen of talent), but this is all very Fine Lou ! Contains stories and covers from Jumbo Comics #3-11, Wonder Comics #2, Wonderworld Comics #3-8, Mystery Men #1-5 and Fantastic Comics #1. NOTE: The early issues of Jumbo Comics were printed in B&W.
