Humorama Treasury: Volume 1
Gwandanaland Comics Nostalgia Series #14 - Classic Gags and Gals from the 50s & 60s
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Martin Goodman is a publishing legend, whose many accomplishments include the founding of Timely Comics, which would in the early 60s be known as Marvel Comics. Few would doubt Goodman's contribution to comic publishing, but he was also an important cog in the wheel of men's magazines, stories of adventure, exposes of politics and social issues, cartoons, and pin-up gals. While not as well-covered in the media (pun intended), this was a profitable department for decades, and his HUMORAMA line of digests particularly so – with low material costs and low productions costs, Goodman could print in small runs and make money. He had the talents not only of many gorgeous gals, but the drawing masterworks of Bill Ward, Dan DeCarlo, Jack Cole and other greats! The 'zines can be hard to find today, but we're scouring the back rooms to find more of these gems. This collection bring three classic issues:
ROMP #31 (1962)
GEE-WHIZ V3#22 (1959)
COMEDY V4#22 (1954)
