Choosing Life

Choosing Life is a collection of original poems, songs, and stories that celebrate the life, to date, of a middle-aged Canadian woman celebrating her 60th year on planet earth. Vibrantly illustrated with her own photographs and paintings, Gwen McCauley takes you on a voyage of discovery and deep, spiritual reflection. Choosing Life reflects the prose and verse writings Gwen created as part of her 10-week LifeSong process, plus her growing collection of photographs and paintings and some of the poetry she has written since she completed her LifeSong program. Choosing Life was initially created in homage to Greg Layhew, her husband and life partner of nearly 30 years, who is also celebrating his 60th birthday in 2008. As Gwen completed that very special gift she realized that her life experiences and her willingness to be open about those experiences might inspire others. Choosing Life is what has resulted from that process.
