FOUNDATIONS OF MATHEMATICS

This book is intended for ordinary level, advanced level as well as undergraduate students in the field of Mathematics. Most courses in these areas at this level have Mathematics in the menu of subjects. The book seeks to achieve the following objectives: (1) To build a firm foundation for development of mathematical concepts and their correct application in Mathematics and other subjects at both ordinary, advanced as well as undergraduate levels. (2) To provide a reader friendly single learning resource on most mathematics topics taught in those three levels. (3) To illustrate the organized presentation of problem solving in Mathematics and to enable learners to acquire this skill. (4) To enable students to apply their mathematical knowledge in analyzing and solving numeric problems.
