The Lightning Jar

Ahmose, the long suffering Supervisor of Embalmers, is sent to Asyut with instructions to investigate the death of Egypt's richest commoner, who just happens to be the provincial governor's father-in-law. If he thought his previous cases were confusing, he's in for an unpleasant surprise. While Ahmose is away, his wife Nenufer becomes embroiled in a minor scam that escalates into all out civil war! The old gang are all present together with a host of new characters whose sole purpose in life is apparently to drive Ahmose to drink.
