The Ridin' Kid from Powder River

Young Pete was a tough yet oddly sensitive youngster the day an old man by the name of Annersley rescued him from a horse trader. Pop Annersley took Pete to his homestead where he not only made the boy his partner, but also taught him to ride, shoot, and tell the truth. Pete might have gone far--become a well-to-do rancher or cattleman--had not Fate, always tricky where the boy was concerned, stepped in and laid a hand on his bridle rein. For Pete's career is shaped by a wanton bullet that drops Pop Annersley in his tracks.
