Welcome to my first volume of poetry.. The poems arrive quickly. I don't sit for weeks agonising over a single word, and if the metre wobbles here and there, it doesn't keep me awake at night. Like the painting and printmaking this writing has somewhat replaced, I go where the inspiration flows. I did once buy a book on how to write. I made it to chapter two. What actually set me going was a poetry collection — also unfinished, I'm sensing a theme — which included a poem about an aerobatic display. The odd thing is, I'd already written my own poem on almost exactly that subject before I ever reached the famous poet's version. Now there's a thing...
