PM4R

The increase in development effectiveness of International Development projects requires, in addition to quality of project design (doing the right things) the use of project management practices with a focus on results and risk management (doing the things right) in a joint effort between staff from development organizations and the implementation team at the executing agencies. This guide is an IDB initiative to strengthen the project management practices of development projects in the Latin American region. The goals of pm4R is to contribute to the project management capacity of Bank clients in the region regardless of the source of funding so that those projects can obtain the desired outputs in time and within budget. This guide promotes the use of modern project management tools consistent with international best practices.
