My Name Is Bridget

This remarkable book enables us to listen to a very special young woman from Wenchi in Ghana, called Bridget. She was born with physical disabilities due to Cerebral Palsy and is now 25 years old. Her intelligence and her ability to observe are completely normal or even above normal as her book clearly shows. She is quite sharp in her observations and very good in telling her appalling experiences. The story of Bridget's young life has been written by Ineke Bosman who took the time to listen very well to what Bridget could tell about her childhood, her family life, her time in school and church and her general observations about reactions in the Ghanaian society towards persons with disabilities.
