INLAND EMPIRE
A Senior Thesis in Photography 1977-78
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The outback of Riverside County 50 years ago, documented in 71 now vintage photographs. Rocky chaparral, junkyards, ramshackle gas ‘n tire stops, blistered signs, sun baked warehouses, corrugated tin, semi-collapsed houses and other abandoned monuments to failed enterprise inform a close, fascinating look at a rural, desert California that has mainly vanished.
The original, 1977-78 photo essay, taken as a UC Riverside grad student.
