My Addiction/My Escape shows J. Steven Williams relationship with words. When he was younger he was told "when ever you're going threw something, write about it". As he got older he did just that. This book is a collection of original poems written by him based on real-life issues, and opinions. He didn't leave it at poetry, there's also "Seeds" and "Just my Thoughts". Seeds is a collection of original short stories with the goal is just to create thought. In "Just My Thoughts", J. Steven Williams gives is unique insight on many issues that people address and deal with on a daily basis.
