On July 29, 2004, 7 US Soldiers supporting 20 Afghan National Army soldiers drive deep into Ghor Province to meet with a difficult local warlord and broker peace. However, they are ambushed in Morghab Canyon by over 10 times their number of enemy fighters - the very troops of the warlord they are going to meet. Outnumbered, outgunned, the odds hopelessly against them, they must hold out for hours before any help arrives. Morghab Canyon was the largest enemy scale action in Afghanistan as of 2004. It's amazing any of the US soldiers survived.
