Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The causes of sorrow are manifold in this life. Indeed, the Scriptures remind us that “Man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward.” (Job 5:7). We endure the loss of friends, possessions and employment. Many experience bereavements, poverty and harsh mistreatment by others. Eventually, sickness, pain and death comes to us all. And for the Christian, the ongoing battles against personal sin lead to deep spiritual sorrows that only add to our griefs. In WORDS OF COMFORT, Pastor James Smith highlights many of the wonderful Biblical truths which provide solace for the Lord’s suffering saints. These 32 short devotions not only remind us of God’s unchanging love and faithfulness to us. They also point us to His great and precious promises which serve as sweet “Words of Comfort” in our seasons of sorrow. ───────────────────────── Originally published in 1859.
