This book is about a Freemason who would never dream of having a biography written about him. Having spent some years working for Burlington Northern Railroad and the United State Army, he became a Master Mason in 1972, for the purpose of becoming a better man. As he progressed through the degrees of Masonry, he realized that his higher purpose was to help other men become better men.
He went on to complete the 32 degrees of Scottish Rite Masonry and became a Sir Knight in the York Rite of Masonry. He went on to further his Masonic Education by petitioning and joining The Research Lodge of Colorado, The National Sojourners, and The Heroes of ’76. Also, he and his Masonic wife of 47 years belong to The Eastern Star. He was awarded the 33rd Degree of Scottish Rite Masonry and The Order of the Purple Cross of York.
He is a Past Master of several Masonic Lodges, a Past Commander of Knights Templar, A Past High Priest of Royal Arch Masons, Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Cryptic Masons, an Almoner of Scottish Rite Masonry. He has also served as a Most Excellent Past Grand High Priest of Colorado Royal Arch Masons, Illustrious Grand Chaplain of Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Colorado, and Grand Prelate of the Grand Encampment of Colorado. He’s also received the Council Adult Leadership Award.
In 1989, our paths crossed, and he began helping me make myself a better man, through Freemasonry. He raised me a Master Mason in 1989 and has been my best friend since.
