Critical Wife Failure

"I should tell you up front. This is not a love story. Sure, it’s got a boy and it’s got a girl. They meet, fall in love, and get married. And they are happy. Classic fairy tale stuff. But the thing that they never tell you about fairy tales is what comes after. What comes after the “ever after.” As I said, this isn’t a love story. This is a story about how it can all fall apart. And how, with the right people and a good sense of humor, you can put it back together and maybe find something even better." At least that is what my friend Sophie has to say about my story, because she agrees that the pen is mightier than divorce. In any case, it is how I coped with a relationship that ended suddenly and allowed me to take the worst and laugh about it.
