Jolie leaves the big city on the advice of her therapist to take a respite from a bad breakup and reconnect with herself at her own pace. The new town is small, peaceful and relaxing. She falls in love with the tranquil pace and the people and is surprised to find that she might even be falling in love again.
But her stress doesn't seem to have been left behind in the big city.
Soon she is hearing and seeing things again. She begins to remember things that couldn't have happened or haven't happened yet. She is beginning to lose hours and even days at a time.
As she pieces together the unnerving events around her she begins to suspect that either something is terribly wrong with the world she must face the reality that she is losing her mind and descending into madness.
