A Mountain to Climb

In 1939, just days after the outbreak of the Second World War, Nora Watson and John Mountain met. Within days of John’s departure to fight in the North Africa Campaign they were married. This book follows their individual stories of their lives from birth to being re-united at the end of hostilities. This story covers both their early lives growing up in Wakefield, West Yorkshire in the early part of the 20th century and gives in insight into how World War II impacted on the lives of those who lived through it.
