OBSERVATIONS

ByJohn Green

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Observations on the Passing Scene was a popular newspaper column by Thomas Sowell that I read almost daily. The late Andy Rooney was also a favorite of mine. (See the appendix for some of their quotes and others). Some observations contained here came from family and friends. Most have come from experiences and memories by the author of this book collected over the past sixty some-odd years. Many reach back in time as far as antiquity, but most written about things that have happened in the last few decades. The observations take many forms and articles included extracted from my books published over the past several years. Other missives here written, in various forms and venues, as recently as a few days before this book published. This book is a sequel to “A Little Out There” published a few years ago although with a slightly less humorous tone. The purpose is not to preach, but instead to give you something to think about and ultimately decide what your own observational truths are. Perhaps this might also encourage you to record some of your own observations to ponder or pass on.
