Doctrinal Teachings: Discipleship series 400 level

We have now come to Level 400 of our Discipleship Series, which has to do with Bible Doctrines. Jesus in the Great Commission ordered that, in discipling the converts, we should be, "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you,..." Mt. 28:20. Also in John 7:17, our Lord said," If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." Hence doctrinal education of our disciples is of vital importance. In every building, there is always a need for a solid foundation if the house is to stand firm. So also in our Christian life and ministry, a foundation is very necessary. The scripture says, "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" - Ps. 11:3. There is no doubt today that many Christian lives and ministries are out of course, simply for lack of a solid spiritual foundation of sound doctrines of God's word. We are warned neither to be "carried about with divers and strange doctrines", nor to be "tossed to and fro as children and be carried about with every wind of doctrine". Heb. 13: 9; Eph. 4:14.
