UK Early release

A second chance comes with a price. When Darren Hammond walks out of prison under the UK's controversial Early Release Scheme, he is determined to rebuild his life. After years of bad choices, shattered trust, and a prison sentence that cost him everything, he returns to Salford with one goal: stay out of trouble. But freedom is harder than prison. Finding work proves difficult. His relationship with his sister Lisa remains fragile. And the consequences of his past refuse to stay buried. As old criminal contacts reappear and hidden debts come due, Darren finds himself caught between the man he was and the man he wants to become. With police investigations closing in and dangerous figures watching from the shadows, one wrong step could destroy everything he has fought to rebuild. Set against the backdrop of modern Britain, Early Release is a powerful social drama about redemption, family, poverty, forgiveness, and the courage required to start again. A gripping story of second chances, resilience, and the long road home.
