Tuning the Future

Clifford never thought he’d be able to break out of the boring routine of daily life. Occasionally bullied at school, always late to classes, overshadowed by his own twin brother, dreams unfulfilled … but he doesn’t mind being alone. But it would be a dream to be in an adventurous life of excitement, for a change. Esther is an elite agent of the interplanetary, militaristic company Asgard. In an alternate reality one thousand years into the future, society has changed. Technology has been developed to the point of allowing access to alternate realities. It would have been a simple albeit unusual task for Esther to collect an item from one and return. But the plan goes awry, and Clifford accidentally winds up getting caught back with Esther into her world … And now Clifford’s wondering whether he can ever get back to his boring life.
