CONTENDING WITH FAITH KILLERS

More than two thousand years ago, our Lord Jesus Christ expressed a very frightful prophetic apprehension concerning what the Church is going through today. After teaching His disciples the necessity of persisting in prayers, He concluded, saying, “…when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). He obviously meant faith in Him as the Lord and Saviour of the whole world. Today, many nations which have succeeded in destroying their former pseudo-theocratic regimes have now replaced them with either Capitalism or Communism and declared themselves secular States, thereby relegating Christian faith to the background. As a matter of fact, many countries which hitherto embraced Christianity have now banned Christians from openly professing and practicing their Christian faith. In such a situation, only God alone can tear down the satanic barriers and open the door for unhindered evangelism in those godless countries. However, many churches which are still allowed the luxury of freedom of worship have ironically embarked on a suicide mission by either replacing Christ’s divine teachings with some satanic doctrines or commercializing church worship for personal gains. Without revival, such churches are definitely on their way to self-immolation, and they may likely lose their faith in the long run before the end of this age. In this book, we intend to draw the attention of all Christian worshippers to a few faith-killers with a view to dissuading them from losing their faith, because without genuine faith in Christ no church is worth its salt, and nobody can enter the kingdom of God without Jesus Christ. As you go through this book, may the Lord grant you the grace to hold onto your faith in Christ until His Second Coming in Jesus’ name. Amen.
