I am Almost Josephina. My name came about as I am constantly improving and changing. It is my ongoing process of growth and that is the theme of most of my work. Life can throw you off the path, it is good to leave breadcrumbs in case you have to find your way back. I grew up in a rough neighborhood but I didn't want that to define me. The Williamsburg, Brooklyn of today is much different than that of the 80's and 90's. It required a lot of chutzpah to break free from the stereotype of the urban child. My first language is Spanglish and I call myself Nuyorican, not belonging to any one world. When you are neither here nor there you can either find the unprecedented experiences daunting or you can feel at liberty to create your own special path to follow. I hope that you enjoy my work.
