Ubiaja Renaissance Economic Empowerment & Development Plan (UREED Plan), or the UREED Rural Development Plan is a document originally produced with the aim of guiding community stakeholders, development partners, NGOs and policy makers at the local, national, and sub-national level (Edo State government of Nigeria), in implementing development programs and projects in Ubiaja and Esan South-East Local Government Area within the specified period (2024-2030). The Challenges in rural communities all over the world are similar: infrastructure deficit, shortfall in health provision, lack of quality education, little or no opportunities for skills development and lack of access to finance and markets. These are not unique to my community. With this fact in mind, I sincerely hope that the solutions in this book can be applied to rural communities all over Asia, South America, Africa and other parts of the world.
