Baby Girl

Inspired by true events, this is the story of a child who will spend her earliest months languishing at the mercy of an overburdened, underfunded, politically motivated system incapable of effective or decisive action with regard to her life. Jade, known legally only as “Baby Girl,” will reach her first birthday with no official family, no official name, no official birth certificate... and a foster family desperately fighting to change all that. From advocates of a system meant to empower the most helpless in society to finding themselves fiercely battling its authoritarian grip and nonsensical decisions, the Williams-Rice family is determined to do all they can in order to provide the little girl in their care every opportunity at the best possible life, one they are convinced includes them.
