The Chocolate Ghost and Other Tales, enriched with Selected Poems, is a collection of stories and poems by Julia Hawkes-Moore, with drawings and cover art by the Author.
'The Chocolate Ghost' was written as a children's story for the class
of 9 year-olds I was teaching in that 'Let's all write a ghost story'
school lesson, but some of the poetry is rather more Adult. It is
marketed under 'Fantasy'. I would have enjoyed it all aged 14, and
indeed, I wrote some of it when I was that age. It has one rude word
in it, which is correctly criticised insitu. It has dark moments, but
I think teens relish those, IMHE. It is a very mixed confection of
delicious treats!
