Our first misadventure is “The Malkin”, a tale set in London in which an Indian widow and successful businesswoman takes advantage of the needs and weaknesses her attractive English neighbour had no idea he had. Unsuspected needs and weaknesses she uses to fashion him into an intimate and domestic servitor. Mr Steiner’s second, misadventure is another tale set in the UK, “Serving Sreelatha”. This time with the added involvement of the male in question’s long-suffering English partner. A once loving wife who takes advantage of her formerly commanding husband’s sudden mental incapacity to mould him into a domestic flunky. A flunky who, when tame enough, will be considered worthy to finally join the household of his former business partner's widow and the draconian housekeeper who serves her until he is considered fit to be… Serving Sreelatha! Kurt Steiner is a writer who spent his formative years in India but is now based in Falmouth on Cornwall’s south-coast. He is also the author of the female-led classic, “The Inferior”.
