Animals

On Sunday, April 17, 2011, 17 children between the ages of 8-12 gathered at the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library. The group was assembled to create drawings with the help of Anne Austin Pearce, a Kansas City-based artist who had an exhibit of modern art, titled Passport, on display at the Kansas City Public Library’s Central Library. The kids were asked to pick out their favorite animal, and to do their best recreating that animal in a drawing. The following images are the wonderful and whimsical results of that very fun program.
