The Blue Espairin

400 years ago, prisoners were experimented on heavily as a form of punishment, until they became too messed up, too scientifically mutated, too powerful, and they escaped to destroy to shreds through mauling and clawing almost the entire earth population. Now, modern day, there wasn't much of a world to live in. No human alive actually had any living family member by now, if any did, it was extremely rare. These prisoners had become monsters, dragons, beasts, freaky creatures of all kinds, some even resembling extraterrestrial beings. There were the purebreds who were the most beastly of all, there were hybrids, but there were few that survived that were the ones that needed to be feared the most, for they had a conscience. They could resemble a normal human, but they were capable of transforming between human and beast. These were called the Blue Espairin. They were born with defects and were physically weaker than the purebreds. Their own mothers attempted to eat them as soon as they birthed them, the few that survived were usually rescued by humans. They often had trouble learning to control their fierce side and their animal abilities, but only the Blue Espairin could control their minds, learn, think, and choose. They had the upper hand advantage to the purebreds. They also blend in among the humans and were hated by both worlds; their own kind, and by humans. They were just as afraid as the very humans and preferred to live among them, without telling their secret. A group of teenagers wander the woods in fear together, hoping to find comfort from each other, but there is one girl among them who has a haunting secret. Soon Allen and Lizzy discover Maggie's secret as they have to watch her tear Elliss apart to shreds, and kill Ian crudely. Allen, her lover gets injured, and Lizzy is her next victim. Maggie cannot control these impulses well enough, and becoming aware that she has contaminated Allen, her love, she intends to search for a cure to save him, however, in all of this, Asher, her old flame whom she thought was dead, and has unresolved feelings for, returns in the form of a dragon, and Allen has become jealous and also too dangerous to tame. Things start getting out of hand for everyone, including Lizzy, the only human left among them.
