I was born in 1955 in Traverse City, Michigan. Christ came into my life in 1978. I attended college briefly until a friend of mine asked me if I could come help at a Christian vegetarian restaurant ministry in New York City, where I ended up spending 3 1/2 years. After that I was a preschool teacher back in Traverse City for several years.
My church involvement eventually led me to be involved in street ministry to the homeless & poor. Through that I got involved working with a homeless shelter in Grand Forks, ND. After several years as a Supervisor/Chaplain at the shelter I spent time helping the Salvation Army in Grand Forks as supervisor of their fund-raising. That is where I met my wonderful wife Kathleen.
Kathleen & I have been married since since early 1997, when we moved to the Fargo, ND/Moorhead, MN area. Our son was born shortly thereafter, and he now enjoys performing in music and theater.
