A children’s poem and picture book about the bond between fathers and daughters, the way little girls see their Dads, and the promises Dads make to their little girls. It begins during the nightly bed time routine of Avery Jane, a precocious little girl who wants to be anything but plain. After falling asleep, she begins to dream of far off fantasy lands inhabited by her favorite stuffed animals and toys. Half awake and half asleep, she eventually discovers her father watching over her. As he takes her back to bed, he explains to her the simple yet powerful promises that fathers make to their daughters.
