Flying O'Briens

Tim O'Brien has to take care of his older brother Brian, who suffers from certain handicaps. He has no imagination, no sense of humor, and no chance of growing to adulthood as a normal human being. As Timo learns from friendly aliens, his brother doesn't actually belong to the human race. Then unfriendly aliens kidnap Timo and his friend Hester Schwartz. How can he protect his brother now? Brian O'Brien calls his brother Timo a liar. When his parents go on vacation to Ireland his brother goes to photography camp. Brian and his friend Callie build a flying machine in the O'Brien basement. Brian tells the story of his summer. Timo tells a very different story of his own.
