Su-jin is first generation Korean who may or may not be engaged to her family-appointed husband-in-waiting. Matt is a first generation Englishman who may or may not be in love with the aforementioned Su-jin. The novel moves from LA to New York to the darkest corners of West Yorkshire to examine how their respective cultures affect their definition of, and chances for, that fabled all American, happily ever after.
