Dark Chrysalis

Dark Chrysalis is a symbolical characterization of man’s mortality and an incisive overview of man’s quest for a rebirth. Presented in a series of poetic epiphanies, it delves on the spiritual, moral and emotional aspects of man’s existential interrelationship with his world and his creator. The book is more than a compendium of thoughts. It is one realistic perception of life’s unending philosophy.

About laureano eric garayblas

A true-blooded Filipino, Eric, as he is often known to close friends, is a poet in his own right. Most of his poetry had been published in both the local and international journals and had been the recipient of numerous accolades. An Agricultural Chemist by profession, he finished his bachelor’s degree at the University of the Philippines; had postgraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at the Universite’ de Nancy (France). He had also completed courses in Laboratory Instrumentations (Barcelona), Computer Programming and Electronics. He underwent Brewing Technology, as well as Microbiology trainings in Berlin, Munich, Reading (England), and Lerida (Spain) and was appointed Research Director and Brewing Manager of a local brewery firm (prior to his retirement in 2004). Some of his research/technical works had been published and presented in several brewing conventions held in the Philippines, Europe and Australia.
